A night of modern rock and rock n roll
Fjokra is a multi-instrumentalist from Dublin. Drawing influences from an eclectic mix of genres, he founded the project in 2010 while living in Manchester.
Now based in London, over the past 18 months Fjokra has been gigging regularly with his eponymous band, building up a passionate fan base. His music soon drew the attention of Kaiser Chiefs, who curated an album called 'Emerging Icons' which was released by Unsigned Band Review via Universal Music in May
Off stage and behind closed doors, Fjokra is constantly writing and recording new material, with an EP release scheduled for early 2013.
Lost In Holborn
During the spring of 2009 Lost in Holborn formed in a dark and seedy rehearsal room in Kingston. Trying their best to ignore the allure of alcohol and exotic dancers from the bar above they set to write an arsenal of songs which reflected their influences. David brought in soaring vocals and heartfelt lyrics complemented by Sam's infectious and melodic guitar lines. Add to this Ben's raw bass playing and Mark, a drummer who is the ultimate embodiment of rock 'n' roll.
With their influences ranging from Bob Marley to Frank Zappa and from Battles to “The Godfather” theme tune What?!’s music is a unique mix of different styles and soundscapes taking the listener on an eye-brow-lifting ride through the wonderful worlds of music, space and time.
